TINST 207: E-Mail and Physical Mail Similarities

Well, we went over most of what I could even hope to think of in class, so I'll just recite what I remember for the sake of completing this assignment.

From what I can remember, the most notable similarities are the fact that letters and pictures can be sent through both. In my own opinion, the group "letters" could easily consist of personal mail, including: birthday cards, Christmas cards, personal invitations, etc. Primarily directed towards the receiver based on a personal relationship.

Beyond those two large and broad subjects, you also have the less practical mail, yet the stuff that is common enough to list. There are notifications (ex: bank statements, quotes, area warnings, etc), bills, media files, brochures, coupons, store offers, jobs offers, and that is only scratching the surface of the list. A major category of mail that floods both the physical mailbox as well as the digital one is spam. While scams primarily pertain to E-Mail, it isn't impossible to come through both. Junk mail is probably the most common type of mail, and can traced back to both subjects.

Overall, it is harder to find the mail that is specific to one, and pretty soon, I believe it will be harder to find mail specific to the physical counterpart versus E-Mail. But, that's aside the homework, and I lack motivation to continue... soooo....

It's been real,
Marvel
